An Entry in CatalogIt represents one individual item (or object record) in your collection. Each Entry counts as a single cataloged object, regardless of how many images, files, or related records (such as people, places, accessions, exhibitions, or documents) are attached to it.

Your Entry is the central, living record of that item — capturing what it is, where it came from, why it matters, and how it’s managed. From an Entry, you can view and edit metadata, attach media, link related records, organize into Folders, generate reports, and keep your documentation up to date in one place.

When you log into CatalogIt, the first screen you will see is “All Entries”. This is where every Entry you create will be located.
