Creating Related Entries

Entry Relationships enable you to connect related records within your collection, helping you provide additional context and improve discoverability across your database.

With this feature, you can link one Entry to another directly within the Relationships section.

Adding a Related Entry

To relate one Entry to another:

  1. Open the Entry you would like to edit.
  2. Click the Edit Pencil in the top right corner.
  3. Navigate to the Relationships panel.
  4. Locate the Related Entries field.
  5. Click into the Entry field.
  6. In the Choose Related Entry modal:
  • Browse or search for the Entry you want to relate
  • Select the desired Entry
  1. Save your changes.

Once added:

  • The related Entry will appear as a clickable link
  • The Entry’s primary image will display alongside it
  • Clicking the link will take you directly to the related record

Consider using this feature when:

  • Objects are part of the same set or collection
  • Items share a common history or provenance
  • You want to connect supporting or contextual materials
  • Entries reference one another in interpretation or research
